The 2009 version of Jeep’s acclaimed Patriot features an all-new, high quality interi­or. Improvements inside the Patriot include an all-new in­strument panel, redesigned centre console and remod­elled door trim.

The instrument panel has been given a superior smoother look while new circular heating, ventilation and air-conditioning vents are surrounded by tasteful chrome. The centre console now has a split lid to boost storage space and as with the door trim its arm rests have more padding for in­creased comfort.  All models now feature a carpeted boot floor and premium floor mats and there are new sound systems. Standard on Sport models is a single-disc CD AM/FM RDS radio with AUX and MP3 capability while Limited versions get a six-disc CD radio, again with AUX and MP3 capability. All Patriots come with a long list of standard fea­tures including Freedom-Drive™ 4x4 system which offers a response in real time to changes in driving condi­tions, adapted to your style.  Also, electric windows, lat­est generation front and side-curtain airbags, air con­ditioning, 17 inch alumin­ium wheels, independent McPherson suspension, ABS and ESP with Electronic Roll Mitigation, six-speed trans­mission and electronic speed control.  An electric sunroof is optional.  To prevent un­pleasant surprises, the Sentry Key® immobiliser which op­erates on a special frequen­cy, prevents the engine be­ing started without the use of the correctly encoded key.  The security alarm system adds extra security to the new Jeep Patriot.

Along with a competitive price and Jeep’s legendary off-road ability, excellent fuel economy also comes as standard.  The 2.0 CRD re­turns a wallet (or purse) wel­coming 42.2mpg or 4.18 li­tres per 100km.
